Becoming Who You Are Becoming

Since my children were little, I’ve told them:
"You will become who you are becoming.”

This isn’t about pressure to be perfect. It’s about being aware that our daily decisions are quiet investments in the person we will become tomorrow.

Healing works the same way. 🌿

Every time we pause instead of react, breathe instead of spiral, or choose compassion instead of criticism, we are shaping a new version of ourselves. Healing isn’t a one-time event; it’s a series of choices that guide us back toward wholeness.


Becoming in Daily Life

  • In the past: yelling when triggered → reinforcing a cycle of pain.
  • In healing: pausing, naming the feeling, choosing a calmer response → reinforcing safety and trust.

Both paths shape us. One feeds reactivity. The other feeds resilience.

Think of a small choice you made this week that supported your healing. How did that moment contribute to who you are becoming?


Becoming who you are becoming is not about erasing the past.
It’s about choosing, step by step, how you will live today.
And in doing so, you build the future you want to walk into.

Your healing is not only for who you are now—it is also for the person you are still becoming.
