Healing isn't linear. It's layered.

At Sanctum & Soil, we guide you back to your body through practices that calm the nervous system, deepen presence, and honor the many layers of healing.

Information

Sanctum & Soil is not just a place — it’s a philosophy, and a way of becoming.

Rooted in nervous system science and embodied presence, Sanctum & Soil is a space for remembering who we are underneath the overwhelm. Whether through retreats, breathwork, or speaking on emotional resilience, the work is always about returning to presence, safety, and self-trust.

Our retreats are immersive experiences designed to meet you where you are. Through grounding practices, reflection, and integration, we’ll explore the layers of healing together, leaving you with tools you can carry into everyday life.

Healing isn’t about fixing yourself. It’s about remembering yourself.

Come as you are. Begin where you are.
Your sanctuary is already within.

An Invitation to Slow Down

Life can move quickly, and it’s easy to lose touch with the space we need to rest, reflect, and simply be.

Hosted by Sanctum & Soil, this retreat offers space to reconnect with nature, meaningful conversation, and the practices that help us return to a sense of steadiness and balance.

Through movement, mindfulness, reflection, and time in nature, you will be invited to slow down and reconnect with what grounds you.

About the Host

This retreat is hosted by Anique Herbst, founder of Sanctum & Soil.

Sanctum & Soil is built on the idea that meaningful care often begins when we step away from the demands of everyday life and reconnect with the things that ground us—nature, reflection, and community.

Anique believes retreats create a rare opportunity to slow down, turn inward, and reconnect with both ourselves and others seeking peace, growth, and clarity.

Rooted & Restored reflects that philosophy: creating space to grow deeper in our own lives while finding steadiness through supportive community and the restorative power of nature.

Registration and pricing details will be announced soon.

📝 Reflections

Sometimes healing reveals itself in words before it takes root in the body.

In Reflections, I share writings on nervous system regulation, mindfulness, trauma awareness, and the layered path of becoming. These posts are part story, part teaching, part offering, written to remind you that you are not alone in your process.

Ways We Can Work Together

Retreat Speaking & Facilitation

I offer rooted, embodied teaching at retreats and events - an invitation to return to yourself, with tools you can carry forward long after the circle closes.

Nervous System Education

Through stories and science, I guide you into deeper understanding of your body's wisdom so you can meet yourself with compassion and connection, not correction.

Guided Breathwork & Mindfulness

Breath by breath, moment by moment, I offer gentle practices that help you remember that healing doesn't come from someone else. It comes from within yourself.

Wellness Resources

Here you will find soft, steady tools with short reflections, grounding practices, and invitations to listen inward. Not to fix, but to trust yourself more deeply.

Meet Anique

I’m Anique — a facilitator, speaker, and practitioner passionate about nervous system healing, mindfulness, and embodied wellness.

Through retreats, breathwork, and workshops, I help people reconnect with themselves by layering science, presence, and compassion. My path has been anything but linear, and I believe yours doesn’t have to be either.

What clients are saying

"Anique is the one provider who consistently helps me identify the root of my pain—often within minutes—and teaches me how to care for myself. With her guidance, I’ve grown stronger, more aware, and finally on a path toward true healing."

Marlena F.

"I genuinely appreciate Anique's approach when providing peer counseling. Through intentional, compassionate, and caring conversation, she learned and supported my true goals. I am thankful for what I have learned through her wisdom."

Amy K

"Anique has been a part of my healing journey for years. I have suffered early childhood trauma that translated to issues in my body. She took the time to guide me through a meditation to allow my healing. With her knowledge in yoga, mindfulness, and massage, she is a gold mine and her passion for those she helps shines through.

I cannot recommend her enough!"
